The due date for this assignment is: SEPTEMBER 30 .
The total number of points available for this assignment is 30 points.
Initial Processing (10 points)
1. Your first task is to sign up for the Forum and post an introduction. Do not think that you can get away with just jotting down your name and a quick 'hello', Doctor; my data bank needs updating with the information for your current incarnation. Besides, I must confess to a bit of curiosity about you. Therefore, in your post please include the following:
-Your HOL name & House
-Your reasons for signing up for this class
-Your first memories (your first time watching Dr. Who, first Doctor, etc)
-Any other pertinent information you wish to share
Time-Space Rift (10 points)
2. In order to move forward, sometimes it is necessary to revisit the past. While I do not, of course, have the capacity to alter your personal time line nor move us to an alternate reality back to your childhood on Gallifrey, I do have the ability to recreate certain events that will make you feel as if you were there now (not as a child, but at your present age) Ready?
You are once more a student at the Time Lord Academy, and it is your turn to stand at the edge of the Untempered Schism and stare into the Time Vortex. The vastness of the universe and the immense power of the Time Lords surrounds you; thus is the true purpose of this Initiation. Many who have gone before you have described the experience as quite painful, and in fact some unfortunate souls, such as the Master, have gone mad because of it. Others have become greatly inspired and others have simply ran.
The question is this: What is your reaction? How does it make you feel and how do you think it will affect your future? You can answer these questions in the manner of your own choosing. It can be via story or written report (answer), graphic form, song, poem, etc. If you choose to write a story or report, I would ask that you make it at least 150 words and at least 10 lines for a song/poem.
Morals & Ethics (10 points)
3. Please proceed to the Forum and answer the following. Your answer must be at least 3 sentences and no less than 50 words:
In the last Great Time War, you, Doctor, chose to use the Moment against the Daleks in order to save the Universe, even though it meant the destruction of your own planet (as far as you knew then). Given the chance to do it over, would you make the same choice again or would you act otherwise? Why?

EXTRA CREDIT-(30 points maximum)
Please choose one (1) of the following options:
1. While it is impossible for your present incarnation to recall Gallifrey firsthand, perhaps the information from my data banks has stimulated your own memory banks enough to recreate a visual imagery of the scenery there. Illustrate (draw, Photoshop, etc) a scene from Gallifrey, be it the Citadel, the Wastelands, the silver-leafed trees or whatever else catches your fancy. Be creative and let me see Gallifrey through the eyes of a Time Lord.
2. You and your many incarnations, Doctor, are certainly not the only Time Lords that history has known. I spoke to you briefly of Rassilon and the Master; there are many others whose names I did not mention. The TARDIS (aka the internet) is equipped with excellent research capabilities; it is time for you to do some exploration on your own. Gather information on one of these Time Lords (or Ladies) and issue me a brief report (at least 150 words).
3. In the puzzle below you will find 20 words and phrases that we spoke of in the lesson. It is important for you to be able to recognize the terminology of your people, Doctor. Find these words and send me the proof of your success.
